I already have a Watchman fitted to my tank; do I need to drill a new hole in my tank to fit the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm?

No, the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm will fit into the same hole, please remember to remove all parts of the original watchman from the tank prior to fitting the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm.

Do we need to twin the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm after a power cut?

No, however, there have been some cases where the re-twinning process has been required.

Can I have two receiver plugs for my WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm?

Yes you can. As long as they are both correctly set and twinned to the transmitter, you can have multiple receiver plugs reading from one transmitter.

Is my WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm okay next to the microwave?

Yes, the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm will not interfere with the kitchen appliances.

Will the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm interfere with my garage door/house alarm?

No

Does my WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm receiver plug need to see the transmitter on the tank?

No, the distance between the transmitter and the receiver plug is 200m maximum.

What does ‘line of sight’ mean?

The distance between the transmitter and receiver plug should be clear from obstacles such as forest/steel buildings – still within the 200m range.

What is the warranty period?

Our product comes with 12 months warranty from date of purchase.

Can we buy extended warranty?

No, the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm comes with a 12 month warranty and we do not provide extended warranty.

My WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm was flashing so I’ve changed the battery but it is still flashing – what shall I do?

The WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm comes fitted with a lithium battery which should last beyond the 12 month warranty period. We advise not to change the battery within this period as this voids the warranty and any repair/replacement components will be chargeable. The light flashing draws your attention to what is displayed on the receiver plug.

Can my WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm be connected to my house alarm?

No

If I have a problem do you send an engineer out to look at the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm?

No, the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm is an easy install product and there is a Helpline which can assist you with any queries you may have.

When measuring the height of the tank, do I need to include the base?

The height of the tank is measured from the bottom of the tank to the place where the WatchmanSonic / WatchmanAlarm will be fitted; do not include the base/plinth/piers that the tank is sitting on.

Can I buy a receiver plug or transmitter on its own?

Yes, you can purchase either component separate from our Helpline advisors.
